Staying Steady Balanced and Grounded By Coming Into Focus...
"The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock." Matthew 7:25
In financial accounting, the phrase, “balanced books,” means to make up for a loss. If an account is low and there is a deficit, revenue is added to equal everything out. In the same way, God desires to balance the books on the broken pieces in our lives. We all go through things that put us at a deficit in life: a rough childhood, the loss of a loved one, a broken heart, an illness. But Hebrews 10:30 says, “God is a just God. He will repay the compensation owed to us. He will settle the cases of His people.”
You may have been through things you don’t’ understand, but get ready because the Creator of the universe is adding up all the deficits. If you will allow Him to work in your life, He will bring you out increased, promoted, vindicated and better than you were before. You can trust God to balance your books.God has you in the palm of His hand. Before the “brooks” in your life dries up, God would have already made arrangements for your next source of “water”. He is the Way Maker He knows every need, every struggle and every desire. He has it all figured out…He's a supernatural God. The greatest weapon against stress is our ability to choose one positive thought over any negative. Is your life blurred? You have the Power to bring it back into Focus.
In order to get your life back into focus you must have discipline. You can't keep blaming everyone else for your blurred life. In using discipline, you have to focus on your principles and priorities, not the parameters. How did you get off track? What do you need to remove that might be a distraction? Whose business are you into that you shouldn't be? In Matthew 15:13-14, Jesus tells the disciples to leave the Pharisees alone because they were blind to God's truth. It's important to get your focus in order, but also to see the truth in where you are in life.
Focus not only requires discipline, but also commitment. Commitment to follow God, but also to get back on track. There are miracles that are happening in your life, but without focus you miss them. There are messages that are being preached, discussed and sometimes placed right before you, but without focus you miss it. Make sure you are putting your efforts in the right places. God wants you get your focus back. What's stopping you? Who is stopping you? Let's get disciplined and determined to get your Focus back. Your renewed Focus is coming, stay on the course. It's turning around for your Good!
Focus is discipline to priorities and having the strength to be able to say ‘no’ to distractions that are not in line with where you are trying to go. You cannot have new blessings without a new order and restructure. Anytime something moves, you have to refocus. The difference between lack of focus and wrong focus is that wrong focus is having the right efforts in wrong places. You are strong when you are in Focus.
Focus develops in four stages: the miracle stage, the message stage, the moment stage and the mission stage. Where God is taking you, you have to stay focused because the greatest resistance comes when you are going into the greatest opportunities. You can’t win divided against yourself. God wants you to go into the next dimension of focus. Get to the mission stage and stay focused. The more out of focus you are, the more blurred you become. Is your life blurred or in focus? Life is full of ups and downs, twists and turns. Sometimes it seems we are just getting the hang of things when a wave of the "unexpected" comes crashing down. But no matter what kind of storm is going on around us, we don't have to let the storm get in us. God wants us to stand steady and grounded in Him. You're not supposed to be tossed to and fro, one day up and one day down. One day you're happy, one day you're not.
